June always arrives with a certain kind of daydreaming. We're craving slower mornings, linens that catch the breeze and meals that stretch long past sunset. As Brittany spends time this month making her way through Italy, we’ve been inspired by the ease of a European summer. Think open-air markets, tucked-away antique shops, afternoons spent wandering without much agenda, and al fresco dinners enjoyed outdoors long after the plates have been cleared.
JUNE NOTES
What is it about the European culture where they seem to have mastered the art of living well, without overcomplicating things? Whatever it is, we’re all for it and are inspired to recreate that same relaxed feeling at home this summer. Our philosophy has always been that of a home layered over generations rather than decorated all at once. Everywhere you look in Italy and all throughout Europe, there's a constant reminder that beauty often comes from lived-in use, patina and time rather than perfection.
We're also carrying a bit of that perspective into our summer wardrobe. Nothing feels overly considered, yet everything feels layered, thoughtfully collected over time and entirely unforced. We’re leaning into feminine silk tops worn with long denim shorts, white linen that wrinkles beautifully by midday, along with wide-leg trousers, woven bags, and ballet flats packed for every destination and worn on repeat. We’re loving curating a handful of pieces that feel right however the days happen to unfold. Easy and unfussy, just the way we like it.
