OCTOBER NOTES

OCTOBER NOTES

October pulls us inward as the air gets crispier, our palette deepens and instinctively we begin to reach for weightier objects. Think wool that carries structure, rich leather that’s softened over time, that perfect boot that feels broken-in yet poised. Getting dressed this month feels like a fresh new ritual. Welcome to our perpetual fall wardrobe where espresso runs free and every layer earns its place. Our current obsessions? The cashmere turtleneck that will outlast the season, the suede bag that gets better every errand and our favorite no-fail denim that’s versatile through the season and beyond.

In our home, the same instinct applies. We’re trading linen for wool, glass for stoneware, bare tables for layered settings that invite lingering. The entryway becomes a taste of the season with coats on the hook, the scent of cedar and smoke in the form of a flickering candle along with a soft wool runner underfoot for chilly mornings.

This is the sweet spot of the season before the rush of the holidays. The calm sea where everything just feels more intentional. Now is the perfect time to recalibrate your home for fall and get host-ready with ease. The kitchen begins to hum with warmth again—cinnamon, citrus, conversation and something slow roasting in the oven as the afternoon light turns to golden hour. October reminds us that we know what to return to and how to do so beautifully, we just have to begin.
