E-Commerce Catalog Manager

The Vintage Rug Shop is currently seeking a hard working, detail oriented, eager and upbeat e-Commerce Manager to join our growing team! The e-Commerce Catalog Manager will lead the business in expanding it's e-Commerce presence by way of streamlining current systems and implementing best practices. This individual will be responsible for all product sold on the www.thevintagerugshop.com website. This individual is a self starter, a team player, and an excellent communicator. This role will work closely with the Owner to ensure all product data is accurate and uniform across all categories and will also ensure the front-end customer experience is seamless and enjoyable. This person will be an integral part in taking the company's e-Commerce presence to the next level. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain SKU hierarchy
  • Create, maintain, update, and edit product data on eCommerce & POS systems (Shopify experience preferred)
  • Assist in writing product descriptions that speak to our customer base and facilitate conversions
  • Implement best practices for images, meta descriptions, product titles, etc.
  • Maintain accurate shopping feeds on 3rd party platforms & Affiliates including Share-A-Sale, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Google etc
  • Performs routine system audits to ensure alignment across multiple channels and systems
  • Resolve all issues relating to product webpage content including technical data, pricing, visual, content, and copy
  • Work alongside photographer to ensure photos meet company's brand and style guides and all product is accurately captured for the website
  • Monitor eCommerce inventory levels and communicate with management regarding any inventory related needs
  • Work with Owner on marketing initiatives and promotions and make suggestions on product content to help increase traffic, conversion, and sales
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of e-commerce, industry, technology, and trends, and be able to recommend new website products, integrations, and opportunities for the company
  • Keep an active pulse on eCommerce and retail shopping trends, best practices, and competitive consumer experiences
  • Actively propose new ideas and updates to owner and help implement new processes to improve overall workflow
  • A strong communicator (written and verbal) and active listener who comes with an open-mind and is able to effectively incorporate cross-functional team members to accomplish tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years managing a website and digital product catalog
  • Must be proficient in e-Commerce & point of sale platforms (Shopify, Woocommerce, Lightspeed)
  • Must understand Google Analytics
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp or other email marketing services
  • Must have a strategic mindset and analytical experience
  • A self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Carries a fast-twitch response and able to quickly pivot when needed
  • Must be a team player and have a positive attitude, able to work with multiple personality types
  • Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work in an office
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
